Europe continues to deal with an unforgiving economic situation that has pushed many of its citizens into poverty. The crucial issue is whether Europeans can afford living in Europe.
The 3rd Europe Housing Forum that takes place in Berlin, November 18-20, 2015, will stimulate discussion and serve as a launching point for practical recommendations to help demonstrate how housing can play a crucial role in successfully improving social and economic conditions across Europe.
Andreas Geisel, Senator for Urban Development and Environment in Berlin will open the Forum. Leilani Farha, UN Special Rapporteur for Adequate Housing will address delegates as a guest speaker. Dr. Jan Mischke, Senior Fellow at McKinsey Global Institute will speak on affordability - getting people into a home. Günther Bachmann, General Secretary at German Council for Sustainable Development will talk about sustainability - keeping people in their homes.
